Biography
April Cameron currently provides paralegal support to attorneys within the Family Law Group and serves as Office Manager of its Colorado Springs location. Her duties include drafting legal documents, electronic filings through the court system, and maintaining workflow within the office. She enjoys interacting with clients and has a heart for helping them with the concerns they bring to the Law Group that affect their lives and families every day.
Different areas of law and how the judicial system works have always been an interest that April has researched. This passion led to her returning to college where she gained her degree in Paralegal Studies. After graduating in 2010, she began the transition from banking to law.
April moved to Colorado from Tennessee where she spent almost 10 years as an in-house paralegal for Life Care Centers of America, Inc. While there, she managed cases for several states while overseeing outside counsel. During this time, she saw a need for producing discovery documents so she began a department to produce these documents as requested by opposing counsel.
Before establishing herself in the legal field, April worked in branch operations and compliance in the banking industry for more than 20 years. Those years served to develop her sense of focus, research, and commitment to careful care of the assets of community members.
April grew up in Southeast Tennessee, where her father’s family owned a poultry farm. Her father joined the United States Navy when he was 17 years old and retired two years before she was born. His experience and stories instilled in her an honor and deep sense of respect for those who serve their country.
